Below are resources we utilize to help enable our full time life on the road.
Nothing below is paid advertising – there are all products and companies we use and selected ourselves, and have been impressed with. None of these folks have asked to be linked to and nothing here is an affiliate link. Best way to get your company listed here? Provide an excellent service or product that meets our needs.
Technology
| Our Technology Arsenal | We try to keep this page updated with what technology we’re currently utilizing. |
| Millenicom Mobile Broadband | Why lock yourself into 2-year contracts with low bandwidth caps? Millenicom buys bandwidth in bulk from Verizon and Sprint and resells it. Depending on their current offerings, you can generally get a no-contract plan for less than direct with either carrier, with very high caps and/or unlimited. (Usually, the unlimited with Sprint and high-cap is with Verizon… they can’t advertise it on their website, so always best to call and inquire directly.) |
South Dakota Residency Support
| MyDakota Address | This is the mail forwarding service we use in South Dakota that serves as our legal domiciled address for taxes, mail, credit cards, bills, vehicle registration, etc. We’ve received excellent service from Terri and her staff. |
| Epic Insurance | Gina Shaver specializes in RV full-timers, and knows the ins and outs of our lifestyle. She’s always been super responsive to our ever changing needs. |
Business Resources
| The Meehle Law Firm | We use The Meehle Law Firm for setting up our business and anything else legal that comes up. They specialize in helping small businesses and entrepreneurs, and are unlike any other law firm you’ll encounter. And bonus, they *get* us technomads, are social media friendly (you’ll see Suzanne interacting on our Facebook page) and the unique location challenges we have. They are Florida based, which is a great state to base a business in.. if you have ties there. |
| Tech Insurance | Tech Insurance specializes in business insurance for tech companies – and they were fabulous about setting up policies remotely for us. |
Nomadic Community
| NuRVers | This is where all the cool kids hang out! Specifically for non-retired folks living on the road full time in RVs. Many of us are also working as we roam. Aside from sharing tips about this unique angle to living on the road, we also tend to gather once or twice a year for extended in person community. |
| Couchsurfing | Great way to meet people as you travel, and find possibly find free overnight accommodations. We enjoy participating here both as travelers and as hosts. |
| NuNomad Tribe | Hosted by the NuNomad blog, this is an online community of forums and classifieds to connect with other nomads. |
| Digital Nomad Syndicate Facebook Group | A place for digital nomads on Facebook! |

Looking for anytype of resonable numbers to compare buying a 30′ 5th wheeler and towing it around the country for 3 to 4 months at a time vs. the motel model. Lots of variables I know, but anything to get us off the fence and moving forward.
Thanks
Perhaps start a spreadsheet and researching the various costs of how you’d want to compare the two models? Only you can determine the variables (pace, style, budget, locations, miles driven, fuel economy, eating out vs eating in, tourist/vacation mode vs. life balance mode, etc.)
We do share what are monthly costs are on the road at:

But can’t speak as to anything else.. as we’ve not done it.
