The remainder of our summer plans are starting to take form, in part thanks to one of Cherie’s clients booking a training class in DC in mid-July. Our general plans are looking something like this: now – June 30 : Northern Indiana, including a trip up to South Haven, MI for Lakes of Fire Regional […]

Flag Day 2009 Veteran’s Concert
One of our reasons for returning to St. Louis in mid-June was to attend a Flag Day concert that Chris’ father had been organizing in conjunction with the Elk’s Flag Day Ceremony. He’s been working months on bringing in the Bob Kuban band to perform and having transportation for disabled veterans from the local VA […]
Travelogue: Texas to St. Louis
Time period: April 24 – May 17, 2009 Miles Driven: 1593 After weeks of no firm plans and trusting in nomadic serendipity to guide our journey through Arizona and New Mexico, after Carlsbad Caverns we were back on route to our next planned destination – Austin, Texas. Austin is where Cherie grew up, and her […]
Two Year Nomadiversary
Two years ago today – on May 10, 2007 – we embarked on our nomadic adventures together. Chris had already been “officially nomadic” for a bit over a year, having started his solo travels in April 2006. A few months later we first connected online, and in October we met in person and started dating. […]
Digital Vagabonding Roads Scholarship
The Digital Vagabond is teaming up with Matador Travel and Travellerspoint Travel Community to offer a scholarship to pay for a 3 month road trip across America this summer. And get this.. it ends at Burning Man 2009! How *perfect*. We think this is completely off the charts awesome.. so if you’ve been waiting for […]
A week still
Ever since we left the San Francisco Bay Area on March 22, we’ve been in motion heading towards St. Louis for Mother’s Day, with a stop in Austin to visit with my family. We decided to take just over 6 weeks to make the trip, a very reasonable pace to keep that allows for stopping […]
The Road Ahead: New Mexico, Texas, and Beyond…
We are currently planning to spend one more night here at the Grand Canyon. Then, onward towards New Mexico, Texas, and beyond…
Technomadic Convergence with Ben Willmore
During our visit to Hemet, California we had a nomadic rendezvous with fellow technomad Ben Willmore. Ben, like us, gave up his physical home and has been traveling around full time for over 3 years now in a customized 40ft motor coach. He’s an expert photographer and Photoshop wizard, and he funds his nomadic lifestyle by giving seminars, writing books, and conducting training expeditions.
We thought it’s be interesting to talk with him about his approach to technomadism and compare notes:
Travelogue: California Exodus
Time Period: March 22 – April 9, 2009 Miles Driven: 991 On the morning of March 22, 2009 we pulled up the jacks in South San Francisco, hitched up and made a mad dash out of California. Well, mad dash in a nomadic sense. We didn’t actually cross the border into Arizona for another 2 […]
Interviewed by “Travels with Two”
During our visit with Melanie Waldman in Studio City, not only did we get to interview her about her neighborhood, but we also got interviewed by her about our travels. After all, do we not fit her website’s theme of travels for two? She just published her article this morning, and we think it’s fantastic. […]
