A common misconception about our technomadic lifestyle is that we’re on an extended vacation. I think this comes from just how engrained the concept of travel is with being in vacation mode. Vacation: a respite or a time of respite from something We’re not taking a respite from anything, nevermind something. Instead, we’re designing a lifestyle […]

Digital Nomad Location Independent Lifestyle Designing NuNomads
When we started our technomadic journey back in 2006, we thought it would be awesome to connect with others doing similar things. We looked around, and couldn’t find too much organized activity out there on the interwebs. But it seems since there’s been an explosion of awareness and communities of folks doing things similar to […]
3 Tips to Optimize Your Website for Mobile Bandwidth
As full time technomads we’re often dependent upon cellular data signals and occasional open WiFi hotspots for our bandwidth. With variable speeds (our Sprint datacard can range in speeds reminscent of 2400 baud dial-up modems all the way up to DSL), shaky connections and monthly bandwidth caps, we likely experience the internet in a slightly different way […]

Technomadic Convergence with Ben Willmore
During our visit to Hemet, California we had a nomadic rendezvous with fellow technomad Ben Willmore. Ben, like us, gave up his physical home and has been traveling around full time for over 3 years now in a customized 40ft motor coach. He’s an expert photographer and Photoshop wizard, and he funds his nomadic lifestyle by giving seminars, writing books, and conducting training expeditions.
We thought it’s be interesting to talk with him about his approach to technomadism and compare notes:
