Thank you for all of the information you have posted. We are new to RVing but are experienced campers. We are learning so much from all of your posts. Quartzite appears to be the RVers Burning Man.?

Can you post some pictures of your mini close up while connected to the bus and unconnected with the tow apparatus connected to the Mini? I will need to modify our Mini when We purchase one.

Just purchased a new Forest River Solera and want to pull a Mini (2004-12). Can you pull an automatic or stick Mini without problems or modifications?

How much does a lot to park on in AZ cost? Does your lot have any, some, all hookups or is it for dry camping?

Do you need to purchase a annual pass to use BLM property for Boonedocking?

Thank you for any answers and/or links.

Hi guys.. greetings and welcome to the blog. A lot of questions in there, will do my best to point you in the right directions.

For the Mini Cooper – only the manual transmission can be flat towed. Here’s our post about getting ours: https://www.technomadia.com/2011/11/a-mini-adventure/ (as we didn’t do the tow modifications ourselves – we bought from a friend), we don’t feel comfortable sharing our setup – so you probably won’t find the details you’re seeking here. But contact any of the tow bar companies for instructions.)

Arizona is a big state.. lots of options, and like anywhere else, prices will vary depending upon location, amenities and style of park. Shop around, find your ideal balance.

We just spent a couple months doing pretty much exclusively boondocking on national lands.. for free. We didn’t utilize the LTVA areas, so no permit needed.
