Ramblings: Tales from Nomads – Wheeling It

Ramblings

May 27, 2014 by Cherie Ve Ard 13 Comments

Meet Nina & Paul

WheelingItAfter spending a few years living in Asia in high powered and stressful jobs, Nina and Paul decided they needed a drastic change in their lives. They returned to the US, bought an RV, hit the road and never looked back.

That was 2010, and they’re still loving the lifestyle.

We caught up with them last fall at Cape Blanco Lighthouse where we co-hosted together – and just couldn’t resist sharing their story with you.

They share about the adaptations they’ve made over the years to keep their lifestyle sustainable, and how they fund this whole adventure.

Stay tuned.. more nomads coming soon!

Ramblings: Tales from Nomads is intended to introduce you to some amazing people who are living life on their terms by traveling full time.

We started filming this series in 2010, and it keeps growing and growing!  We now have over 20 episodes produced, and many more filmed.

In this video series, you’ll meet some diverse and inspiring nomads we’ve had the pleasure of spending time with. They all have one thing in common – they’re not waiting for a traditional retirement to pursue their dreams of perpetual travel.

The entire video series can be explored at: https://www.technomadia.com/ramblings

Inspired by this Series?

We love producing this series, and we continually hear how each episode helps others see what is possible for a fully mobile lifestyle. Each of these episodes has several hours invested in filming & editing and lots of bandwidth to upload.

We provide them as our gift to you, but knowing they’re helping is what keeps us inspired to keep creating them. Comments help fuel this project.. thank you!

Inspired to explore a nomadic path yourself? Check out our free series: No Excuses: Go Nomadic which is our brain dump on many of the common questions we get about making it happen – mobile jobs, affordability, pets, family, mail, healthcare, connectivity, community and more.

We also offer the same series as a ‘pay as you wish’ eBook.

These interviews are SO helpful in shaping our vision! As we listen to them we get different ideas about how much we might like to boon-dock, or if we might like to have a rig with room for the grandkids. My favorite part is hearing about how people make money. Very inspiring! Gives me hope!

I have been following Wheelin It for a few months now. Thanks for taking the time to interview these delightful folks who inspire those of us trying to get organized enough to hit the road full time. Nina and Paul have piqued our interest in volunteering and in lighthouses. Coincidentally, my husband and I spent the morning with our C.P.A. We left with a solid direction for when and how to sell our rental property, personal home, etc. We also now have an exit plan. We feel confident about leaving two businesses, three kids, two grand babies, siblings, and parents in good condition as we shed all of our stuff and go full time. OK. I lied about the grand babies, but the beauty of the lifestyle is we can head in their direction when we feel like it. I really appreciate these videos.

Another great interview! Ramblings is a wonderful series! Glad to see it continued. I love the fact that you left the window shade open to the storm. Is that your bus I see in the distance?

Awesome interview… I’m glad we got to meet Nina and Paul finally last NYE. I’m stoked that they bought the first RV they walked into. When you know, you just know! Great share.

Well! I FINALLY hear “the accent” 🙂 Have been following Wheeling It since there were in Markham Park in Davir, Florida. That was where I used to camp in a tent with friends when I lived there. Paul was preparing Cuban food (I’m half Cuban) and I stumbled on their RV blog. I went back and read every post, and have been hooked and referring others to the blog ever since. This was a GREAT way to connect to a deeper level with Paul, Nina and Polly who I feel I know just as a blog fan. Thanks for doing this video everyone 🙂 GREAT JOB!

I have to admit.. there are few blogs I read regularly, and I’ve been a Wheeling It fan girl for quite a long time. And they’re every bit as awesome in person as on the blog and video.

I LOVE this video series! I’ve been building my own location independent businesses for the past couple of years, and encouraging the hubby to do so also. We hope to get on the road next year! These videos keep us focused, inspired and informed. Thanks so much to you both!
