Rough Landing

Vintage Bus (June 2011 - present)

Jan 3, 2013 by Cherie Ve Ard 10 Comments

We have had a rather rough landing into 2013, and are currently overwhelmed with the logistics of sorting it all out.

No - we didn't have an *literal* rough landing... but isn't it ironic that we had to jump start our friend's plane so they could head home after our NYE together?
No – we didn’t have an *literal* rough landing… but isn’t it ironic that we had to jump start our friend’s plane so they could head home after our NYE together?

We will return in a bit to update you on the fabulous bus rally we attended and then our amazing arrival to Cedar Key to bring in the New Year with group of fellow NuRVers.

Our fabulous spot in Cedar Key. The fog we're under perfectly reflects our lives right now too.
Our fabulous spot in Cedar Key. The fog we’re under perfectly reflects our lives right now too.

Until then, we are parked in Cedar Key – with an amazing waterfront view and friends who let us vent over wine. We really couldn’t ask for a better landing ground to sort this all out. No matter the outcome, we’re in for a bumpy ride for the next few weeks.

(And as I know many will immediately think the worst – my father’s health is unchanged, this is all business related.)

I hope things work out the way you want and instead of a bumpy ride it just gets smoother and smoother…

We had good Christmas news…after only two chemos Bill’s tumor in his lungs is 50% to 75% gone! It was the best Christmas present we could have gotten…please give your dad our best and let him know he is on our cancer prayer list…miracles can and DO happen…

Yup ….. just when the road seems smooth & straight …. BAM! Curves Ahead! Keeps you on your toes. Frankly, I could do without it, but I guess it’s not a choice thing ….
    Best of luck!

Yes, we certainly could not have anticipated the current scenario. Either way it works out, will be fine – and we will get through this. Otherwise, curves are kinda fun 🙂

Either way it works out, it will be fine – we will thrive regardless. It’s just the turbulence along the way to deal with to get there.
