I am the Ultimate Accessory!

Kiki's Corner Vintage Bus (June 2011 - present)

Oct 3, 2012 by Kiki 7 Comments

My people seem to have this weird thing.. they color coordinate everything!

Cherie painted her toe-nails to match our countertops??

Pillows, blankets, towels, dishes, pot holders, underwear, ethernet cables, toe nail polish. Heck, I’d bet they’d even choose produce that matches the countertops if they could!

Humans are strange, but I love them.

In our Oliver trailer, the interior was red and black. When I adopted them almost 4 years ago, they got me a red harness.

I always thought it was because red is a pretty dashing color against my stripes.

Apparently, I was wrong.

They seem to have settled on teal & brown to be our interior colors in the bus. And this week, they’ve been accessorizing the bedroom to match the new quilt that Ann made us (I like Ann lots, she also gave me a HUGE bag of organic cat nip!!)

They got new sheets in chocolate brown to match the quilt, and have a seamstress coming in to recover the valences.

But I think they may be going a little too far now. Look at this:

My new harness matches the new quilt

Yup. I have a new harness. Is it any surprise that it’s teal?

Oh come on, does the cat really have to match the interior too???

Thanks for making me smile as I read your post today!! Our “bricks and sticks” home was outfitted with bright colors, but for some reason, our fifth-wheel now is all decorated with coordinating brown and tans. For the life of me, I don’t know what happened! Even our miniature dachshund Arri has brown and tan blanket on her bed.

Cherie, thank you very much….the fact that you and Sean like this garage, and this guy is good enough for me, and it sounds like his shop rates are reasonable.

To each his/her own on the accessorizing thing. Spray painting the cat blue/teal/whatever?
    Not recommended.

    Chris and Cherie:

We will be going to Choo Choo Express Garage after Amazon to get the coach serviced. Can you give me the name of the person you dealt with there? Just arrived in Campbellsville, KY for our Amazon gig.

The guy who will answer the phone is Don.. he owns the place. He’s older, so give him some patience – but extremely brilliant about diesels. And his tech is Joel. It’s just the two of them.

Don’t expect a big fancy place, it’s very much a mom & pop shop that is a well stocked garage in Don’s back yard 🙂

And no need to call much ahead. A week or two before you’re heading that way should suffice. Heck, they can usually get you in if you just show up.

My harness is green, to go with my fur. But my Momma doesn’t have much else that’s green. Her stuff is all colours.
