How Many Similarities Can You Spot?

Bus Projects Vintage Bus (June 2011 - present)

Mar 6, 2012 by Cherie Ve Ard 7 Comments

We’re working on a more detailed post with our recent kitchen and bathroom remodeling, as well as an updated video tour of Zephyr’s interior.

In the meantime, I thought it’d be fun to share this before & after picture:

Before & After - Comparing Zephyr's interior between June 2011 and Now.

Feel free to click on the photo for a larger version.

The first photo was taken just after we bought the bus in June 2011, and shows the original bus conversion interior of the living space. Β The second was taken today, and shows all of the interior mods we’ve been working on during the past 8+ months of bus ownership.

After our first round of interior modifications, we posted a similar Before & After picture – and asked ‘How many difference can you spot?’.

I think this time around, it might be more appropriate to ask:

How many similarities can you spot?

If you’d like to play along, please do by responding with your answers in comments, e-mail or Facebook!

We’ll even offer up your choice of fabulous Technomadia prizes to the winners – to include apps, eBooks, stickers or a visit with Kiki.

Love the desk setup (and your blog). I’m planning on ripping out my dinette to put in a custom desk (I’m full time roaming tech worker too). Was planning on doing 100% wood but looks as though you are using some type of laminate? I’m assuming it is lighter? and is that custom built or you pick that up somewhere? Appears your chairs have rollers.. how do you secure when moving?

Also.. any plans on trying out the new ViaSat Exede satellite broadband?

      Hi Cryus.. and welcome!

We had our desk custom built.. here’s the post that details the install:
      https://www.technomadia.com/2011/09/bus-projects-dual-desk-install-engine-maintenance/

We have bungee points underneath the desk, so that chairs get strapped in before motion. Works very well. Our monitors also have custom ‘seat belts’ that we had blacksmithed to fit on the desk.

Our brief look into ViaSat Exede says that it’s not appropriate for mobile use. Seems it is by the same company that offers WildBlue, which is a spot beam technology? Spot beam is not mobile, and needs a fairly fixed location for the receiving satellite. Perhaps we are missing something that makes it a mobile RVing option? Overall tho, we’re pretty happy with the combo of 3G cellular and soaking up WiFi when we can get it.

I’m having trouble believing this is the same bus! I need the mirror to persuade me it is. πŸ™‚

Where did those turquoise covers come from on the sofa please? Sheets? Fabric? I see the pillow is shaggy or something.

They’re just sheets – and we mix it up from time to time to see how different colors feel in here. Re-apholstry is an upcoming project.

Love the color. I have a body pillow cover that color and want some regular pillow covers the same color.

Thanks… we’ve been playing around with a lot teal shades in here.

The sheets we just picked up at a thrift store. And the fuzzy pillow was a Burning Man gift. So sorry, can’t help on where to find them in stores πŸ™
