It’s focus is broader than those being truly nomadic, and can include those who telecommute and keep a fixed home base.

Another newer cross over term applicable to the working technomad is Location Independent Professional (LIP) – which is any career or job that allows you to work independent of a specific location. This is a community of folks following this path, including a clubhouse.
