In the next week, we will end our workamping gig at Amazon.com‘s distribution center in Kansas and head on to St. Louis to spend the holidays with family. We’re also anxious to be reunited with our kitty, Kiki – we left her there with Chris’ parents when we visited for Thanksgiving, instead of putting her through a lot of lonely nights as we worked.

Our intentions for the first quarter of 2010 seem to be coming together, and currently are looking something like this:

winter2010

Late December thru mid-January – St. Louis, visiting with Chris’ family
mid-January – mid-February – Meandering around Florida, catching up with Cherie’s parents and our community there
mid-February – March - Head to Texas, where our NuRVers community is starting to plan a rally, visiting with Cherie’s brother and we’re contemplating attending SXSW in Austin.

The rest of the year is pretty unplanned except for attending Burning Man and hosting Camp Nomadia in late August. We imagine we’ll try to hit as many regional Burning Man style events as we can too, amongst whatever other adventures serendipity guides us towards.

  2. Hey Guys,

I see that you will be in neck of the woods sometime early next year. I would love to connect with you guy and pick your brains, introduce you to some good Indian/Pakistani food and have some fun in general.

Keep me posted when you’re close to Houston.

You’ll have to run up to Oregon and check out our regional burn, SOAK…usually mid-late June. Great place for Orion, too. My crazy friends are the coordinators, and I’d be happy to make introductions (you know where to find me), especially if you’re interested in doing any nomad-focused (or otherwise) workshops. I hope to have my own ‘glass trailer by then, as well…thinking of an older model to dedicate to an art trailer project, at least until Oliver Trailers figures out their plan…and I win the lottery!
