The date has been put on the calendar.

May 10, 2007.

This is the day that I will leave the foundation of having a physical home and become nomadic.

*gulp*

Exactly 204 days after Chris and I met in person for the first time in California, he and I will intentionally set off on a joint path that merges our lives together for the next phase of our lives.

So much to get done before we step out that door and out into the world. A house to get on the market, a mobile home to prepare as ours, time to spend with people I care about, 33 years of accumulated stuff to prioritize as to what is essential to have with me, priorities to set, nomadic financial solutions to set up, figure out what to do with my car, etc. etc. etc.

Where are we headed? We’ll first take a month heading across country to the Bay Area of California where we will base ourselves out of likely through Burning Man. We’ll stop along the way to visit with friends and family (let me know if you’re on the way.) What about Fritz? He’s still my love, my sweetie.. we just won’t be domestic partners. He’s hoping to relocate closer to his job, providing our house sells. Our practical paths have been, and continue to be, very different and incompatible. He wants stability and routine. I want adventure and the unpredictable.

What a year it’s been.

I can’t wait for the adventures ahead of me.
